Do I need to have the licensing for the fonts I use in my book?

Regardless of the font you choose for your book manuscript, once the file is converted to eBook formats, the customers who download your book will decide which font they read your book in (using options on their device). You do not need a license for these standard fonts.

If we are embedding a particular font into your eBook (especially for fixed layout files) you will need to own the font. You can check with the font provider for license and permissions information.
